Our creative/communications team has been busy in August!
* Missions Month Materials are being shipped this week!
Boxes of materials will arrive at each church within the next 2 weeks.
* The Ickes Scholarship form is again available online. Simply go to www.efcer.org/boards/EPE and select the link under "Pastors and Outreach Elders". The form will be emailed directly to Julie Jenkins for processing. Please call the office if you have questions regarding this scholarship.
September Events to keep in your prayers:
* Sept. 12-13: Hispanic Leadership Conference
EFC-ER will sponsor a Hispanic Friends conference Friday- Saturday at the World Outreach Center.
* Sept. 19-21 - WMF Southern Retreat (Kitty Hawk, SC)

SPECIAL NOTE: There are still rooms available for women wanting to head south for the retreat.
Two steps are needed to register:

Celebrating with our churches:
Southeast Friends Church (Salem, OH) has agreed to unite with Damascus Friends Church (Damascus, OH)
Southeast will become the third campus of DFC, with Craig Henry staying on as the Campus Pastor. This new effort will be patterned similarly to how the Malvern campus was launched in 2013. DFC will invest both financially and with people. Senior Pastor John Ryser has pledged to recruit, train, and send 50 members from the Damascus campus to attend and serve at the new southeast Salem campus. Preparations should be in full swing by January 1st and Relaunch Sunday is scheduled for Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015.
Congratulations to Colony EFC (Newport News, VA)
on their rededication service held Sunday, Sept. 7th at 4 p.m. The contractors/church did a beautiful job in the workmanship. Dr. Wayne, Regina and Jason Evans attended along with a good number of guests from Virginia District.

Missionary News:
Prayers Requested from Cindy Aufrance:
David and Lori Long (replacing us while we are in US) have had their house on the market since April and not even one serious offer yet. The time for us to leave is approaching and we are concerned about leadership for the church. We need to know what the Father wants us to do for the good of the church.
Missionary Speakers Available:
Arun and Shobha Massey (India) have an opening on Sunday, September 21, AM or PM. Arun and Shobha work with the Davadisi (temple prostitutes) in India, rescuing women and their daughters from human trafficking. Please email Julie Jenkins at [email protected] if you would like to schedule them.
