King's Mayoral Debate
King's Mayoral Debate is taking place on Wednesday, October 8th, 7 - 9pm* in the Student Life Centre. Doors open at 6:30pm. The Helen and Andy Spriet Learning Lounge will be used as an overflow for the debate. After the debate ends, candidates will have tables set up in the Learning Lounge and refreshments will be available.
*The main floor of the Student Life Centre will be utilized during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Cardinal Carter Library will remain open for study space.

Volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospitality Centre October 11th
For the past 3 years King's students, faculty and parishioners have been offering fellowship and warmth to those less fortunate on the East Side of London. If you would like to serve coffee, or sing or play an instrument for a couple of hours please contact Annette Donovan Panchaud. If you are able to donate fruit, healthy snacks or goodies (home-baked or store bought) please drop them off in Wemple, 149b on Friday, October 10th between 8:30am - 4pm.

Pastoral Challenges to the Family in the Context of Evangelization
There is a new library display entitled "Pastoral Challenges to the Family in the Context of Evangelization: October 5th - 19th, 2014". It is the third Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops that a pope has ever called since the Synod was created in 1965. There will be more than 250 participants at this assembly finding "ways to improve the pastoral application of church teachings, ways to explain it and to help Catholics live it", according to the National Catholic Reporter.
