Updated Westland Zoning Maps Now Available  

Westland, MI - The Westland City Council recently approved a new Zoning District Map, which is now available to the public online and for purchase.

Residents and others can view the updated map online at the Planning webpage under Services on the City's website, www.CityOfWestland.com. The new zoning maps can also be purchased for $5 at the Department of Building and Planning, located at 37137 Marquette, Westland, MI 48185.

The Department of Building and Planning's main responsibility is to assure the best development for the community, while applying the necessary standards of the Zoning Ordinance, City Master Plan, and other local, county, and state regulations. The Zoning District Map acts as a guide to realize quality development in Westland. 

The Official Zoning Map is updated regularly to reflect zoning changes that are reviewed by the Planning Commission and approved by the City Council.
