La Capitale Chapter of ABWA February 2015 Meeting.

We hope you can attend our Monthly luncheon meeting for LaCapitale ABWA this month.

Carol Newman  ATTORNEY CAROL A. NEWMAN ON KATRINA REVENGE,

WHAT IS MEANS TO BE AN ABWA NATIONAL TOP TEN

AND A TEST OF YOUR LEGAL KNOWLEDGE ON BUSINESS RELATED ISSUES

Carol A. Newman, Attorney at Law, has been a member of the LaCapitale Chapter and has held several Board Member positions since 2006 including Vice-President, Secretary and currently the Chairperson for the Hospitality Committee. She was also the  LaCapitale Chapter Woman of the Year in 2010. She is also a secondary charter member of the Crescent City Connections ABWA Express Network. Attorney Newman was honored as an ABWA Top Ten Business Woman at the National ABWA conference in 2011. She has had a private law practice for 30 years and has offices in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. She has extensive experience in the areas of real estate law, successions/probate law, estate planning and business formation. Carol and her two children, Christine and Adam, are Hurricane Katrina survivors who lost their home in New Orleans…just blocks from a levee breach. Immediately after the storm, they moved to Baton Rouge to reestablish their lives and Carol began the daunting task of rebuilding her business in New Orleans and opening a new office in Baton Rouge. “I believe that our true character is revealed when we face life’s biggest challenges”, said Ms. Newman. “I was determined that Katrina – the biggest disaster in the history of America – would not win…and it did not. My children are doing great and I’m very proud of them. My business is growing and I’m happy. I call it Katrina Revenge.”
