Latest Developments in the Screening and Management of Fetal Rh Incompatibility

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:
- Discuss obstetrical screening strategies to predict and prevent adverse fetal outcomes that arise during gestation, especially as a result of Rh incompatibility
- Demonstrate competency by regularly integrating the DHHS US Preventative Task Force RH incompatibility screening guidelines into obstetrical practice
- Recognize typical clinical indications among pregnant women for antibody screening to detect Rh-sensitization and candidates for Rh-immune globulin administration
- Evaluate the importance of Rh (D)-immune globulin as a preventative intervention for fetal/neonatal health
