Preservation of Traditional and Digital Photographs

Do you have photographs you treasure and want to preserve? This program, led by Barbara Lemmen, will provide you with tools to extend the life of these images: to combat the agents of deterioration, to select housing materials, and to curate your digital files.  A short lecture and question and answer period will be followed by the opportunity to examine sample materials and preservation literature.Click here to register.


Introduction to iPhone Photography

More than just a snapshot device, the iPhone is a powerful tool for creating photographs and photo-based art. In this workshop, you'll learn camera techniques that are exclusive to iPhone photography; find out which apps are best for image capture, editing and stylizing your images; and study combinations of apps that transform your images into photo-based art. iPhone 5 or greater, with most recent iOS downloaded to your iPhone. Pre-registration required.  A full list of apps used during the workshop will be provided during registration. Painting "The Loper Method"

Date: Saturday, March 7 & Saturday, March 14

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Price: $50 not-yet members / $40 members (for both sessions)

Workshop instructor Thomas Del Porte, oil painter and former student of Edward Loper Sr., will begin by discussing and demonstrating some of the techniques he uses to create his paintings. In keeping with some of the themes from Del Porte's current work, participants will paint a still life using "The Loper Method" No experience required.
