Hi All,
Wow - talk about fireworks - our skies have been filled with brilliant flashes of lightening - all summer - only another month or so to go til we're out of hurricane season! It's been a really busy summer - I had time to get up to New England to visit friends for a week - but the real estate market has been really active here! I posted a weather prediction on our Facebook page (letsgo2puntagorda) and it sure looks like folks are making the right decision - getting down here early and getting out of that crazy weather!
September also brings with it the back to school buzz and lots of excitement about the upcoming season. Labor Day festivities signal the end of summer for most but we still enjoy all of our outdoor activities. September 11th brings with it thoughts and prayers for all who were touched by the tragedies of 9/11, the 22nd is Elephant Appreciation Day (you can't make this stuff up!) and football season begins!
Have a safe month and be kind to one another!

Best Ideas for Fall Container Gardening
"Bring a seasonal splash of color to your entryway by mixing and matching eye-popping blooms with rustic grasses and foliage in your fall container gardens.
Bright Gold Fall Container Gardens "Pansies and violas are the easiest way to add long-lasting color to a fall container garden. This container creates a sunny color scheme with 'Ogon' golden sweet flag, 'Matrix Yellow Blotch' pansy, and 'Penny Clear Yellow' viola."
___________________________________________
Classic Mums "Mums are abundant this time of year and require little attention. We chose red, yellow, and orange blooms to echo the season's warm color palette and painted terracotta pots to complement the color of the flowers."

Vibrant Fall Colors "Combine the season's hottest hues in a vibrant mix of 'Snapshot Orange' snapdragons, 'Purple Pixie' loropetalum, and bright 'Penny Clear Yellow' violas. Tuck in the showy foliage of 'Sparkling Burgundy' heuchera to complete the look."
