IT'S FUNDRAISING TIME!

Ok, now that we have that out of the way, we can get down to business. As a parent, I get a lot of requests to purchase items that help support a variety of things for school, band, and more. It's hard, I know, but in our environment, it makes travel affordable and possible for so many who might not otherwise participate. And, it's not happening tomorrow...

There will be four fundraisers scattered throughout the year. All high school students planning (or even thinking about) the summer mission trip are required to participate in all aspects of two (2) events and at least partially in a third. All other students (including middle school students) are asked to participate in as much as you can. This provides a 'pay it forward' scenario because in future years, this year's middle school student will be in high school and other students will be supporting her/him.

Our first offering will be late October, early November with Christmas Wreaths and a new Annual Youth Ministry Christmas Ornament. Look for details soon.

Do you ever complain? (I do! Sometimes A LOT!) When do you complain the most? Why do we complain? Is it because things aren't going as we planned or envisioned?

Sometimes things don't go as we planned and it can be frustrating. Plans change. Events may not unfold as we had hoped. Life will throw us some curveballs! People let us down.

2014 Mission Trip Creation Wednesday, September 24th at 6:30pm, All participants in the 2014 Mission Trip are invited to the youth room to create a mosaic to be presented to the trip in honor of your work and time in Oklahoma. The piece will be presented to the congregation on September 28th at all services. Students participating in the trip need to contact Duana Cisney as soon as possible regarding this presentation. Our trip will be to Glory Ridge in the mountains of North Carolina. It is in Madison Count; one of the most impoverished counties in the state. We will be doing everything from swinging hammers to pulling weeds. It is all important work. You can email Duana with questions. Please begin looking at your calendars.
