headed to Anglophone countries for graduate degrees, and to
train Iraqi teachers.  After almost 2 months in the 5-star Al-Rasheed
Hotel in the Green Zone, she moved to the school premises, where
she lived in a garage apartment near a dried-up arm of the Tigris
she fondly named "the ditch."  She will tell the story of how she found
her own wistful little Garden of Eden in perhaps the most fortified 4
square miles on earth.  Talk will be accompanied by visuals and
followed by a question and answer session.
