Environment for the Americas: Paid Latino Internship Opportunity

Paid internship program for Latino/Hispanic youth (ages 18-25) in the fields of wildlife biology, community outreach, and bilingual environmental education. We have placements in Oregon, Alaska, California, and Colorado starting this fall and next spring. Lodging is provided at some of the sites on US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management areas.

Healthy Housing Conference August 19-21 

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Lead-Based Paint Unit is hosting the 2014 Western Regional Conference on Lead and Healthy Housing. We are excited to announce that CDPHE Executive Director, Dr. Larry Wolk, will be the keynote speaker, and we will have a range of national and local guest speakers to discuss the following issues:

 

-  Lead Poisoning Prevention and Lead Hazard Control Issues

-  EPA's RRP Rule Issues

-  Healthy Housing Issues


Students may attend the conference at a discounted rate of $50.
