Our Mission:
Grace Episcopal Day School provides a program of academic excellence while preparing children to live responsible lives in a community grounded in the Christian faith. Through care and nurturing, Grace inspires learning, builds confidence, and promotes a desire to succeed.
Educational Philosophy:
GEDS integrates varied teaching methods with traditional approaches to inspire learning and build confidence. Teachers are given the freedom to teach in their own unique learning styles and children are encouraged to learn through relevant experiences and hands-on learning. We celebrate the richness of life in a Christ-centered community, the seriousness of academic achievement, and the joy of childhood.

Art Selected for Shirt
Congratulations to Josie. Judges selected her artwork for the Judy Nicholson Foundation shirt for the 2015 Art for Hope Battle of the Bands Competition, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Riverside Arts Market. Additionally Josie and her fellow Grace art-students's work will compete in the Student Artwork Showdown with many other elementary student artists at the event. Two Million Words
Congratulations are in order for Brooke and Grace, the first two Grace students to reach 2 million words! Several other students are close behind. Special thanks to all our wonderful teachers, especially our librarian April Switzer for inspiring our students to dream, explore and and achieve.

Auction Volunteer Meeting January 13
Tuesday, January 13, after the morning flag assembly we will gather in Grace House for our initial auction volunteer meeting. Everyone is encouraged to join us for one of the most enjoyable events at Grace. You will meet the co-chairs and have opportunities to sign up for one or more of the auction teams. Town Hall Meeting
Tuesday, January 27 at 5:30 am
You are invited to attend an informal town hall meeting with the Head of School, Stephanie Kowald. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your thoughts about GEDS. The meeting will be held in the Grace Library on Tuesday, January 27th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

 Artists of the Week Congratulations to William and Grace, our Artists of the Week. William and Grace demonstrate their mastery of compound shapes with their illustrations of confident African Elephants. We recognize the student artists at our Tuesday morning Flag assembly. You can see the original artwork on display in the school office.
