PARENTS WEIGH IN ON NEW ELEMENTARY REPORT CARD
Feedback received is being used to make improvements

Parents of elementary students got their first look at the new elementary report card during November conferences. Because the changes were so significant, principals at each school selected 15-30 parents at random to complete surveys and provide their feedback.

More than 350 responses were received, which is excellent! Approximately 70% of parents felt positively about the new reporting tool. Concerns centered around the length of the report cards and their appearance, due to "Xs" placed in areas not assessed. Teachers also were surveyed for their feedback, and results from both were used to create recommendations for the Elementary Report Card Committee's consideration.

Improvements will be ongoing, but look for the second quarter/first semester report to have a cleaner look. Many thanks to everyone who participated in the survey!

Please remember that ParentVUE will open for elementary parents in quarter 3. Login information was provided at conferences, but parents can always contact the school office if they've misplaced the information or need support.
