Round Table Discussions

This conference pairs two revolutionary movements of Green Building and BIM to create environmentally friendly design through a streamlined process.  This knowledge packed afternoon will discuss practical strategies, techniques and real life case studies of projects and how BIM can be used to optimise design in order to achieve better environmental outcomes for buildings and their occupants.

Our super-informative half day conference features 5 interactive roundtable workshops, an opportunity to ask real questions to GREENBIM users  & knowledgeable GreenVision & thinkBIM ambassadors.

Here is a  peek at what we will be covering in the afternoon !

Government Keynote - Richard Lane, UK BIM Task Group

UK Keynote - James Anwyl, EuroBuild UK

International Keynote - To be announced

BIM 4 PassivHaus
Elrond Burrell, Associate, Architype

As we move towards a more sustainable future and meeting EU requirements for all buildings to be "near-zero energy" by 2020, passivhaus is gaining importance and becoming mainstream in the UK. How can BIM help with this?

Active BIM
Neil Hudson, Information, Technology & Communications Manager, S & P Coil Products Limited
Neil will demonstrate their 'Active BIM'  approach in an intimate round table session.  Neil will talk about how a manufacturer can provide BIM level 2 information in a format that can be inserted directly into a Revit BIM Model.

Utilisation of Building Information Modelling to Enhance Environmental Optimisation
Chloe OBI, BIM Manager, Bouygues UK
The aim of this round table discussion is to demonstrate how waste (primarily at the early project phase) can be eliminated through the use of specialist environment analysis applications.

Assessing and Minimising the Embodied Impact using Building Information Modelling
Aleksandra (Sasha) NJAGULJ, Head of Sustainability, Bouygues UK
Sasha will use this discussion to demonstrate how embodied impacts (embodied carbon, materials use, waste, maintenance, etc) can be minimised through the use of specialist environment analysis applications.

Specifying green materials and using digital tools
Chris Halligan, Director, Stephen George & Partners
A roundtable to discuss the digital tools available to the specifier seeking sustainable materials and their effect on the design process.

This not-to-be-missed event will offer presentations, workshops, quick fire Pecha Kuchas and the opportunity to network over a great buffet

and a pint of Yorkshire real ale.
