September is National Ovarian Cancer awareness month.  In honor of Debbie's mother having ovarian cancer, we are running this fundraiser to help raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.

We have chosen the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe as our fundraiser coffee. It is a fruity, nuanced, washed coffee with hints of citrus and is anchored by a base of baked chocolate undertone. Crisp, clean, balanced.

Happy Thursday!

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.  Some of you may remember Debbie's mom being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer last February.  After numerous rounds of chemo, Teri was in remission for a year.  Unfortunately, the cancer has returned.  This Saturday, Debbie will not be at the Western Wake Farmers' Market.  Instead, she will be running a 5K for the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk & 5k Run.  There's a picture of Teri on the home page; right hand side of the group picture.  She is wearing a white t-shirt and white hat, next to the lady with the blue bag.   This year we are running our own fundraiser to help raise awareness of this deadly cancer.  For every 12 oz bag of coffee purchased, we will donate $5.00 towards Team "Teri"fic and the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk & 5K Run.  We would greatly appreciate your help!  Thank you!

Don't worry, Jim will still be at the Western Wake Farmers' Market with plenty of coffee to sell, including our other special of the week.  The Mexico Chiapas is from the FIECH Cooperative and is an Organic, Fair Trade Certified coffee. It has good body and coffee flower-honey sweetness.  It is anchored with flavors of stone fruits - peach, apricot. This is a crowd pleasing coffee which can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Enjoy your weekend!

Jim and Debbie
