Dear APPNA Family:
The world is seeing an unprecedented wave of violence, be it in Peshawar, or Burma, Brussels or Paris, or violence and terrorism knocking at our doors and neighborhoods in USA, tragically affecting the communities we live in. While we continue to express our deep concern, and keep wondering "WHY?", it is time we stand with those affected by the tragic slaughter of members of LGBT community in Orlando. It is time we raise our voice along with the international community, against cowardly acts of terrorism and violence against innocent citizens.
APPNA condemns the barbaric attack that occurred on Sunday June 12, 2016, in Orlando, Florida, and announces a vigil at Lake Eola Park, Downtown, Orlando, on Sunday June 19th at sunset.
- Location: Lake Eola Park | Intersection of N. Rosalind Ave & E. Robinson St.
- Time: 7:30 p.m.
- Look for a big APPNA sign.
- Bring candles.
- There will be food provided, but individuals are also welcome to bring their own.
We are requesting all our members in Florida, and surrounding states, especially those in Orlando and surrounding areas, to join us in full force, in raising their voice against tragic acts of violence and terrorism.
Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the families of the deceased and injured. May we all have the courage and fortitude to unite to defeat violence. Please join APPNA on Sunday June 19th, for the vigil in Orlando.
We will need volunteers for the event. Please contact Dr. Sajid Chaudhary at
