 Market Updates
Fall Market Reminder: starting in October (just two weeks away!) the farmers market's hours will change to 9am - 1pm. Please remember not to show up early; vendors will not be able to sell before the opening bell. Enjoy the extra hour of leisure in your morning : )

We are excited to welcome Nossa Familia back to market this Saturday, after spending the past 2 weeks making coffee for the participants of Cycle Oregon. Dragonfly Forge will also be back, don't forget your knives for sharpening. Unger Farm's season is winding down, so stock up on berries and lovely fall grapes while you still have time! Mt. Hood Organics will return to market in two weeks, with their lovely organic apples and pears--we can hardly wait!!

greeter with dotsThis Saturday at the market, we are hosting our annual Customer Dot Survey! This is our chance to learn a little more about you and for you to tell us what you think about the market. And it all happens with stickers! Please make sure to fill out the survey when you come to the market this Saturday; it only takes a couple minutes and your feedback is so valuable to us. We will be set up with a tent in the middle of Hancock Street, near the seating area.

Kids' Day last Saturday was a great event, with wonderful kids' music from Steve Cooper and friends, and a delicious kids' cooking demo from Joanna Sooper of Turnip the Heat Cooking School. Joanna's recipe for Caprese tomato-basil crostini is below, in case you missed it. Thanks to popular demand, we're extending this series of kids' cooking demos into October. The next (and last of 2014) demo will be Saturday, October 11th.

Coming up soon on September 27th is our 2nd annual Vendor Salsa Contest! For this contest, our farmers and other vendors will be making salsas, and you get to be the judge!

The Hollywood Farmers Market board is still taking applications for new board members! Applications are due tomorrow, September 19th, see our website for more details. Contact Suzanne at [email protected] for more info.

See you at the market!

Featured Products
Table Grapes
Unger Farms
Unger Farms has red flame grapes, which are a seedless table grape.  Red Flame grapes are a very popular table grape, so give these a try - they are sweet and delicious!

Filled Brioche
Fleur de Lis Bakery
One of our favorite pastries available at Fleur de Lis' booth. With a custard filling often incorporating plums, apples, and other seasonal fruit, you are in for a real treat. Good luck being able to leave the market without eating the whole thing!

Chile de Agua
Sweet Leaf Farm
This medium-sized Oaxacan chile pepper is an heirloom variety that somewhat resembles the poblano, but is hotter. Excellent for salsa or pan fried and topped with lime juice and salt!

Lunchmeats
Deck Family Farm
Deck Family Farm has lunch meat! This week they will have pastrami, roast beef, and ham available in small serving sized packages. All of their meat is raised on Oregon Tilth Certified Organic pastures and is processed nitrite free.
