Save the Date for Homecoming 2016
 
Homecoming is coming up quickly, and this year's event will prove to be a very special moment in Anderson University's history! AU's Centennial Celebration will run from Homecoming 2016 to Homecoming 2017, with many activities taking place during both events and throughout the year between. This year's Homecoming will take place on October 7-8, 2016. For a more extensive list of activities taking place, please visit the AU website.

AU Alum appointed as Lancaster's Public Art Manager
 
Heidi Leitzke (BA '02) has recently been hired as the new public art manager in Lancaster, PA. Leitzke studied fine arts during her time at AU, and later earned a master's degree in fine arts specializing in painting from Western Carolina University. Most recently, she worked as an adjunct professor and gallery director at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. As an artist, she has been working with thread and embroidery in her art over the past five years "to create textural images of landscapes, plants, secret gardens, and imaginary worlds." Her works have been shown at galleries in Lancaster, Philadelphia, and New York. "I'm really excited for this new adventure and am really looking forward to working with the city," said Leitzke.  (Source:   lancasteronline.com )

School of Theology Alumni Award Recipients
 
This year's School of Theology Alumni Award Recipients 
will be honored at a luncheon on April 21, where the SOT is also celebrating their 65th year of service to the church. Please join us in congratulating the following SOT Alumni. 

Distinguished Alumni Award: David L. Neidert
Neidert earned his bachelor's degree in religion and sociology in 1977 and his master's degree in religion in 1987. Neidert has worked for Anderson University since 1978 and is recently retired. He worked as the SOT director of student development and taught in both the SOT and in the undergraduate ministry programs. 

Distinguished Ministry Award: Marty Grubbs
Grubbs earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies and music business in 1981 and received an honorary doctorate in 2006. He is the Senior Pastor at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City, OK. He joined the staff of Crossings Community Church in 1981 as the minister of youth and music and became the senior pastor in 1985. 

Emerging Leader Award: Emily Clark
Clark earned her bachelor's degree in Bible & religion and history in 2009 and her master's of divinity in 2013. She is the associate pastor at Wounded Knee Church of God in Wounded Knee, SD. Emily has a heart for Native Americans and has served them in a variety of ways, including raising support for the future Place of Promise facility, which will house a recreational center, offices, and classrooms.
