About Us

The Oklahoma Art Guild (OAG) is a non-profit organization founded in 1954, with the objective of creating, promoting and developing all forms of the visual arts.  The membership includes professionals, amateurs, art enthusiasts and patrons of the visual arts.

 
OAG June Demonstration

Come enjoy a wonderful evening of exploring watercolor with Cletus Smith! We will be back at our regular location at Oklahoma Contemporary, with our demonstration beginning at 7:00 pm.
Many of you know or are familiar with Cletus and his work. For those of you who don't, this is a perfect time to connect with a real treasure of the Oklahoma art community. Cletus Smith is a native Oklahoman with an art degree from Oklahoma City University. He has been a graphic designer, illustrator, industrial engineer and a professional artist.
Cletus taught painting at the University of Central Oklahoma for 18 years and currently teaches private classes at his OKC art studio. He regularly conducts lecture demonstrations, workshops, and has judged numerous art shows throughout the southwest.
Numerous awards and recognitions have been given to Cletus for his paintings and his work as an instructor. His work is also included in the State of Oklahoma Art Collection. He is represented by galleries in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
