camauchallianceCAM and George W. Auch Company Sign Safety Alliance

On June 1, 2016, representatives from CAM and the George W. Auch Company (AUCH), Pontiac, signed a safety alliance for the Livonia Public Schools - Stevenson High School Performing Arts Addition & Classroom Renovations project.

Purpose & Scope of Alliance:
The leadership of CAM and AUCH through a common vision are committed to providing all trades people and subcontractors a safe and healthful workplace by demonstration of leadership, responsibility and accountability.
The purpose of this alliance is to provide enhanced awareness of worker safety and health on this project through the displaying of banners, promotion of training opportunities, and allowing access to the project by the CAMSafety Director and MIOSHA CET Staff to conduct site safety audits to assist with hazard identification and control recommendations.

Alliance Directive:
The AUCH safety and health program will provide the administrative structure by which George W. Auch Company will govern the activities of subcontractors and employees on the Livonia Public Schools - Stevenson High School Performing Arts Addition & Classroom Renovations project to assure that hazards are systematically identified, controlled, and that predictable hazards are identified prior to beginning work activities through the use of pre-task analysis.

The goal of this directive is to support the idea that an injury-free workplace is attainable through effective communication, a motivated and inspired workforce, and dedication to workplace inspection to detect existing and predictable hazards under working conditions.

This directive in no way relieves the subcontractors or employees operating under this alliance agreement of their responsibilities required by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Signing the alliance were James Munchiando, Mitchel DeLange, and Ryan Stolz from AUCH; Jason Griffin and Kevin Koehler from CAM; and Jon Clark from Johnson & Wood.
