In this issue of our newsletter, we are pleased to share the latest trends in philanthropy, as reported in the just-released Giving USA 2016 Report. We hope you enjoy this graphical representation of this year's report, as developed in partnership with our colleague firm, The Benefactor Group.
The lead takeaway from this year's report: 2015 was America's most generous year ever! Charitable donations reached a record high of over $373 billion. As the American economy continues to grow, so too does the philanthropic sector.
Giving USA 2016: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2015, is published by the Giving USA Foundation, established by The Giving Institute to advance philanthropy through research and education. The report is researched and written by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. The Phoenix Philanthropy Group is the only full-service nonprofit/philanthropic consulting firm based in the Southwestern United States that is a member of The Giving Institute.
As part of our commitment to nonprofits in the Southwest, we will be presenting the report to audiences in Phoenix, Denver, Flagstaff, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Las Vegas, Orange County, Tucson, and San Diego.
