Summertime and the living is easy.........so true for Michigan and Florida! Michigan days are warmer with lots of hours of daylight. People live it to the fullest since the season is short and will stay out until 10pm many nights while there is still light. In Florida, the pace slows and you are able to commute and dine out much easier than season. Summer is the time that many locals go to Key West.
Business seems to be steady in both states but not necessarily following the trend of recent years. And of course, June is always a bit slower as it is filled with graduations and weddings. Have you seen those low interest rates? Refinancing remains at a good pace.
We are eager to see what the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will come out with in July. They may be clarifying some of the TRID regulations or may actually be coming out with changes to areas that have issues. Everyone seems to have settled in to the regulations from October of last year and the good news is that Consumers are coming to the table prepared! As soon as we hear you can be assured that we will keep you in the loop.

Some concerns have been growing regarding Mailout closings and pre-signing with Buyers. As we all know, there have been many changes taking place in the financing world. One area we have seen change is in the lender's ability to allow for pre-signing.
The Buyer received the package and Susan let him know to call and she would walk him through where to sign and have notarized. Susan stayed with him on the phone during the entire signing and notarizing process, and suggested that they scan documents to her to review. She reviewed and noticed that there was a missing acknowledgement that the Notary was able to fill in to correct.
