Welcome to the Meditation and the Joy of Living teachings with Mingyur Rinpoche at Marylhurst University! We're very excited about having this unique opportunity to receive these profound and enriching teachings. Here's some logistical information to help you prepare for the workshop.
Marylhurst University is located approximately 1 mile south of downtown Lake Oswego, and is a 30-35 minute shuttle ride from the airport (PDX). Our workshop will take place in The St. Anne's Chapel (building #D on the campus map; see map for ADA parking and Chapel entrance). Free parking is available throughout the campus.

Seating in the St. Anne's Chapel is in church pews. Please do not bring meditation cushions as there is no room available for floor seating. You may want to bring a small thin cushion if needed for comfort.
Registration Opens at 7:45 AM
Registration will be open at 7:45am on Saturday, June 18 in the St. Anne's Chapel lobby. Please plan to arrive early and be seated 5 minutes prior to the start time. Have your mobile ticket, print-at-home ticket, or ticket that was mailed to you (for those who paid extra for that option), handy at registration. There will be a will-call table for those who selected that option.
Transportation from the Airport and Driving Directions

It's recommended that you make shuttle reservations in advance of your arrival. The pickup area for taxis, town cars and shuttles, is located in the center section of the airport terminal's lower roadway on the baggage claim and departure level.
Do Not Enter "Marylhurst University" in your GPS or add "HWY 43" in the address-you'll end up in Tualitin.The correct GPS address for the entrance to Marylhurst University is 17600 Pacific Hwy, Marylhurst, OR 97036. (Pacific Hwy is also known as Hwy 43.)
This is also the best address for planning public transportation to Marylhurst on the Trimet bus line #35. To get details, visit the Trimet website: www.trimet.org and click on the Trip Planner. The #35 line runs seven days a week from about 6 AM until 11 PM. It is about a five-minute walk from the Marylhurst bus stop to the center of the campus.
Schedule
There will be a 20 minute morning and afternoon stretch break, and a 2 hour lunch break from noon - 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Schedules will be available at the registration table.
What to Bring
Bring drinking water. If the weather permits, you may want to bring a bag lunch and eat outdoors. There are benches and picnic tables located around campus. If you prefer to go out to lunch, there are a variety of restaurants and cafes located within 5 minutes driving distance to the south in Lake Oswego, or the north in West Linn: Restaurant List
