Serrano Water District - Water Restrictions Suspended
|
The State of California has significantly reduced mandatory water restrictions required of Serrano Water District customers. Most of you did your part and in fact over achieved the required goal. This achievement has placed Serrano Water District in the fortunate position to now lift most of the restrictions that have been in place this last year. Great job!
The following are the new rules in place:
You may now water on any day and as many days as you need to irrigate your landscape. However, you are still required to eliminate any water to run-off your property into the gutters or overspray onto the streets or your hardscape and will be notified if it is observed.
If for any reason you have an outdoor water leak, broken sprinklers, plumbing leak, or any other leak reported, Serrano Water District's water conservation concierge will respond to assist in guidance and notify you of the reported issue. However, it is your responsibility to repair any leak within 24 to 48 hours.
Miscellaneous requirements to keep in mind still:
- Hose must have a spring loaded shut off nozzle to prevent forgetting the hose running endlessly.
- No washing down driveways and sidewalks.
- No irrigation within 48 hours of measurable rainfall.
- Do not waste water. Use water wisely.
If you have any questions about your water or want more information about the water restriction suspension, click here or contact the Serrano Water District at (714) 538-0079.
