International Journalists Tour Region
Linda Thomson
President
Jeff Kotula, representing PEIA, and
Allen Smith of CAB speak to international reporters this week in Johnstown.
Seven journalists from around the world participated in a Familiarization Tour of the CORE PA region this week. The reporters specialize in writing about energy issues and have diverse knowledge of mining, oil, gas and power generation. During their time in Johnstown, JARI had the opportunity to assist in hosting them. Highlights of their experience here were visiting JWF Industries/Environmental Tank and Container, learning about the Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped and interacting with the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance of which JARI is a member.
Many thanks to those who participated in the visit, including Allen Smith of CAB, Bill Polacek and Scot Hartnett of JWF Industries/ETC, Kurt Knaus and Jeff Kotula of PEIA, and the CORE PA team, led by Debbi Prosser of the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission, who worked to put the program together.
