Foster Care Ministry Informational Meeting
TONIGHT! Wednesday, June 15 at 6:30pm at HMUMC
HMUMC and The United Methodist Children's Home (UMCH) envision a world where every child is raised in a loving, compassionate and nurturing home. 150 foster children a month in Georgia are sleeping in hotel rooms supervised by strangers (a contracted state employee to be specific). The UMCH turns away an average of 30 foster kids a week, all because there are not enough foster homes. Our HMUMC Foster Care Ministry is trying to help.

FYI 55+ Historic South Georgia Trip

If you are 55 or older, join the FYI 55+ group for a memorable trip that includes a visit to the Little White House, The Infantry Museum at Fort Benning, Andersonville Historic Camp site, the National POW Museum, the National Cemetery and a two night stay at the famous Windsor Hotel.

First Annual Family Mission Trip
November 20 - November 23
Join other families and their children (ages 2nd grade and up) from HMUMC for an amazing opportunity to grow closer to Jesus by serving families in the mountains of North Carolina! On this mission trip, your family will have the opportunity to make a difference in another family's life by completing various service projects. All of the families we'll work with are located around our home base for the trip: The Hinton Retreat Center in beautiful Hayesville, NC.
The cost is $175.00 per person. $100.00 deposit required for each family. Space is limited.

Student Ministry Helen Tubing
Wednesday, June 29 from 9am to 4pm
Join the students of HMUMC as we glide down the river in Helen, float around the lazy river and slide down the slippery slides. We're going to Helen Tubing & Waterpark. All rising 6th -12th graders are welcome to attend, but must preregister for the event. Cost is $25 and covers your lunch, transportation, and rafting.

NEW Crosstown Kids Check-In Procedure
SUNDAY Mornings
Please drop your Crosstown Kids off in the Rooftop on Sunday mornings. We will have designated check-in stations inside the Rooftop for each grade level where kids will be greeted by their small group leaders. After large group, we will take them downstairs for small group time where parents will pick them up.
- K-1st grade in Room 147
- 2nd-3rd grade in Room 142
- 4th-5th grade in Room 150

Registration is open for completed 1st - 9th graders. WinShape Camp for Communities is the ultimate day camp experience. We combine sports, arts, recreation, Bible Study and worship into one incredible week, keeping them busy from 8am to 5pm each day. On top of that, your kids will be guided by some of the most fun and best trained summer staff in the entire country.

Crosstown Kids' Fall Retreat at Camp Glisson
Sept. 9 - Sept. 11 / RSVP by August 31
HMUMC and The North Georgia Conference Children's Ministry Connection is pleased to offer a special retreat for children in rising 3rd - 5th grades. We will enjoy the unique activities available at Camp Glisson, and meet, pray, worship and play with children from other congregations across the conference. The cost is $160 per child. $75 for adult volunteers. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required at registration. Space is limited for campers and volunteers!
