Tahini Cord, Balance in Thyme, and Tee Time in Burnt Orange
cotton pincord

You'll find this all-cotton pinwale corduroy to be a great wardrobe builder for fall and beyond. The rich sesame tan color will team with dark neutrals or warm-toned fashion colors. The 18-wale cord will work up well in skirts, pants, or jackets.

cotton satin stretch
We loved this lightweight cotton satin stretch for warm weather separates. Light enough for a structured top, but stable for skirts, pants, dresses or jackets. It's your go-to solid for this spring's wardrobe. Available in 6 colors

jersey knit
Finally, we have our wonderful viscose jersey knit in solid colors! This knit is fabulous for basic, tees, tops, dresses. The hand is creamy, the drape is ample but still with good stability. Available in 5 colors

Eyeshadow Tussah and Mauve Twill
Eyeshadow Tussah with Mauve Twill

striped silk
The slubs and shadings in a tussah silk offer textural and luxurious pleasure. Exquisitely subtle shades of pinks and spices create stripes ranging from 1/2 in to 5/8 in. Shown in Mauve. Also available in Desert.

cotton twill
Our favorite cotton twill in a softened purplish rose. Having just read Mauve, How One Man Invented the Color that Changed the World, I was intrigued by the color alone! See Pinterest for book info. The cotton/spandex fabric is soft to the touch, but sturdy for durable pants, skirts or jackets.
Roma and Sun Prints in Fern

Italian ponte knit
After searching for months, we have finally found the gold at the end of the rainbow...fabulous ponte knits from Italy. This fabrication is wonderful in so many ways. The weight is substantial without being overly burdensome to work with or to wear. It will work well for separates. There is enough stretch for comfort, but it is stable to hold its shape. The hand is soft and the knit pliable. Milled in Italy for an American design house.

Heads Up:  We have a large number of new pontes coming in September. Watch this space!

Sun Prints in Fern
rayon batik
The black ground supports ferns in fire red, purple grape, cobalt blue and bronzed yellow. Ferns fall lightly down the length of the fabric in broad vertical stripes.

silk print jac
Some print designers just get everything- right color, balance, scale, fabrication. This ecru dotted silk jacquard is over-printed with shortened strokes of teal, soft magenta and cornflower capped with yellow. Spheres of the same colors are cuddled with strawberry red arcs. Bouncing amongst the fashion colors are midnight dots of varying sizes. Whether you choose a silk shirt style blouse, a suit tank or a dress, this print will serve you well to team with black, midnight blue or one of the fashion colors.

wool suiting
Everyone needs a navy suit. He or she will be the beneficiary of a lifelong "go to" outfit for business or traditional occasions with this lightweight wool suiting. The color is midnight navy and will serve as either blue or black in your wardrobe. Worsted wool.
FLAWZ
Even the best fabrics can have them!

We are bringing out some awesome fabric cuts from our Rem room to share with our web store customers Each one has some minor  imperfections in the yardage. Working around the flaw presents a creative challenge, but is very doable.  Watch for new ones each week.

Golden Olive
Dyed Leather-
The lambskin is delightfully soft , but stable enough for garments and bags. We are prevented by agreement from sharing the source, but think high-end luxury manufacturer. Trust us, you would be impressed! In general, the skins vary in size from 5.5 to 7 square feet with a few that are larger.

Four skins remain in Golden Olive--Reduced for dye flaws.  Hurry!  First Come-First Served

Warehouse News

Carole fell in love with Jackson Park in green
SB friend and former employee Carole , now from Minnesota, stopped in at the warehouse on Tuesday as part of her visit to MA.
An avid sewer, Carole found lots of fabric to love but worried that she could not fit it all in her suitcase. No worries on that score! That's what shipping is for! Carole left delighted that her purchases of Jackson ParkAutumn Tee, and Glen Cross will all be waiting for her when she gets back home to Minneapolis.
These fabrics are currently in Member Exclusives.  Watch for their release in another week or so.
Sew n Tell
with Judy K

I loved the fabric and am pleased with the dress I made with it (Style Arc Kellie Dress).  Not a great picture  -- just learning with my new I-phone.

                           Judy

Judy made her awesome wrap dress with Trudie knit-

Playful blossoms bounce on a clear black background in this whimsical floral printed jersey. The ITY knit is soft and stretchy for fitted tops or wrap dresses. Colorful shades of blue teal, aqua, emerald and kiwi are accented with earthy neutrals, beige and white. Poly/spandex.

Email me a picture of your sewing project and I will post it in an upcoming newsletter and put it in our blog posts!
