PLAZA DISTRICT FESTIVAL Sept. 27, 2014 

Hang out with us all day at the AWESOME Plaza Festival!

Come cheer on the EGD companies from 3-3:50pm on the main stage and enjoy our annual Flash Mob at 4:50. The instructional flash mob video will be posted this week, make sure you learn it and join us! It is SO FUN!! 

Yes, EVERYONE can join the dance! 

Free rehearsals are scheduled for the Flash mob :

 Sat . Sept 13th 4-5pm and Sat. Sept 20th 4-5pm

Last year's flash mob was a showstopper! Join us this year!

CONGRATULATIONS TO EGD

 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS!

Last month was the annual "All Companies" meeting for EGD dancers and their parents. During the gathering many exciting events took place. Ms. Shannon and Miss Jessica completed the ALS Bucket Challenge while dancers and parents cheered on, Mr. Ernie celebrated his 41st birthday and two talented and dedicated dancers received dance scholarships!

Congratulations to Isabella Armstrong who was awarded the $500 Kristen Berlin Scholarship and Juliana Hill received the $125 Tom and Kathy Hedglen Scholarship. 

Juliana Hill was so happy! She not only works very hard in every class, she is very expressive onstage! Last year Juliana took 6 classes a week and did not miss one the entire year! She was also part of the talented 2013-14 EGD Youth Company that won  dyssey Dance Competition's National Title for the Novice Division! Way to go Juliana!

Isabella Armstrong was very surprised to hear her name called out as the $500 recipient of the Kristen Berlin Dance Scholarship. Isabella is a very technical dancer that lights up when she is on the stage! I enjoy being challenged and work at home on the hard stuff", said Isabella. While attending EGD Ballet Camp this last year she won Youth Oklahoma Grand Prix. She also won many awards at the Odyssey National Dance Competition.  Her  jazz solo "Don't Matter" won 3rd overall, she also was part of the Flamenco Fantastico Jr. Co that won 3rd Overall in the Advanced trio and  3rd overall small group with the EGD Jr. Company's Amadeus jazz routine.  WOOT !WOOT! Isabella!

Teachers Miss Jessica and Ms. Shannon completed the Ice Bucket Challenge. $100 was donated to the ALS Foundation.
