Welcome to our Unity of Columbus Newsletter.
The Blossom Of the Mind
We have a saying we use often in Unity, "Life is lived from within-out." This article is for any of you who has ever asked the question, "What does this mean?"
In her book, What Are You? Imelda Shanklin writes, "Your body is the blossom of your mind."
I will briefly offer to you today, dear friends, that if there is any part of your body that is suffering, or is not "behaving" in quite the way you'd like it to, make the conscious decision to heal - to change your life! Turn within to pray, get yourself in the consciousness that you are one with the Divine Source, and remember these words of Shanklin:
"Your mind is your world.
"Your thoughts are the tools with which you carve your life story on the substance of the Universe. When you rule your mind, you rule your world. When you choose your thoughts, you choose results. The visible part of your life pours out of your mind, shaped and stamped by your thoughts, as surely as the coins of nations are shaped and stamped by the mechanisms used to convert ores to specie."
In your prayer practice this week, I invite you to affirm for yourself:
"I am a whole being, perfect and complete. My life is lived from within-out! My mind knows it, and my body shows it!"

el of awareness and Life experience. Over the coming weeks, we will explore each of these "Twelve Powers" in detail.
