Entering Grades 1 - 2

Space Adventures:
Campers will investigate engineering through play with LEGO® Simple Machines and toys that  have been used in space. Engineers in training will build simple toys and explore gears, pulleys, and wheels and axles while engaging their creative and critical thinking skills.

Robonauts:
This is the half-day version of our Space Adventures camp.
Entering Grades 3 - 5

Rocketeers:
Rockets! In this half day camp, students investigate the principles of flight and rocketry. Girls and boys will build and launch several different kinds of rockets and have an out-of-this-world time!

LEGO® WeDo 2.0 (New!):
BRAND NEW HALF DAY CAMP! Campers will use the new LEGO® WeDo 2.0 (released in 2016) robotics kits to explore a variety of building designs and programming. This is an excellent camp for those students who want an introduction to robotics and for kids who want a follow-on of our Junior Robotics camp. Students will be working with a partner.

Junior Robotics/Lego WeDo 2.0:
This is a full day camp that will introduce campers to the basics of programming and engineering using LEGO® WeDo's. Campers will use both our previous LEGO® WeDo kits and the new WeDo 2.0 kits to design, build, and program their way through fun and exciting challenges. Students will be working with a partner.
Entering Grades 6 - 8

LEGO® Robotics:
Campers will use LEGO® Mindstorms to create and design various robots. Girls and boys will program the robots to complete challenges such as cleaning up trash, navigating a maze, and even sumo-wrestling! Students will be working with a partner.

Advanced LEGO® Robotics:
Campers can build upon their experience with LEGO® Mindstorms robots. Students will create their own unique robot designs and programming solutions. Prior experience programming Mindstorms a must (this is not an introduction to Mindstorm programming). Students will be working with a partner.

Code Like a Champ (New!):
Learn the basics of computer programming and digital art by looking at a wide variety of apps and websites on both computer and mobile devices. Campers will use Lightbot, Hopscotch, iLogo, Scratch and Codea.
Entering Grades 9 - 12

Space Engineering Odyssey:
Apply physics, biology, chemistry, and math to make informed decisions while working to save the International Space Station crew during a simulated space mission crisis. COLLEGE CREDIT OPTIONAL:  Challenger partners with UCCS to offer two (2) elective physics credits; additional course-work and fee required.
