News & Fellowship
Sign up for fall EfM by this Friday, August 1!
  • Are you curious about how the Bible was put together?
  • Do you have an interest in studying Scripture and church history?
  • Do you wonder about language--Hebrew and Greek?
  • Do you wish you were more skilled at connecting Scripture and our Episcopal tradition to your everyday life?

EfM (Education for Ministry) is a 4-year program which delves into Hebrew Scripture, New Testament, Church history, and theology. Interspersed are readings on the authority of Scripture, Christian ethics, and telling your story of faith. You commit to 1 year at a time. The class that meets on Fridays has 3 openings for the year beginning in September. Contact Judy Kilkenny or Judith Bowers for more information.

The remaining dates are August 8, 22, and 29. All sessions are in the Chapel, except August 22, which will be held upstairs in the newly refurbished Rodman House.

NEW Join the Corps of Counters!

Join the dedicated crew of parishioners who count the offerings and make sure they are deposited in the bank in a timely manner. You would serve one Sunday a month, with another trained counter and a Vestry member. In about an hour the receipts are counted and prepared for deposit. Training and guidelines provided. Please contact Phil Allard (703-505-5899) to volunteer or for more information.

NEW Join the Greeters!

Greeting people with no qualifications known on either side has kept the Christian Church alive for thousands of years. We ask you to consider this mission as part of your life. A sincere welcome is within you all and is important to us all. We will be making up a bimonthly schedule starting again this September and October. Please join us whenever you are moved to do so. If we have enough volunteers, it will only require once a month service. Please contact Herb Langford (703-938-1304) to volunteer or for more information.

Join the Audio/Video Ministry!

The Holy Comforter A/V Ministry is in desperate need of attendants to monitor the sound in the Sanctuary during Sunday services. The only requirements are that you can tell when the volume is too loud or too soft and can slide a volume control! Please contact Randy McGuire (703-716-0241) to volunteer or for more information.

Volunteer for Coffee Hour!

Volunteers make Coffee Hour possible. Individuals, families, and groups are encouraged to contact Chris Doyle (703-255-6135) for more information.
