The Revolution SOLO Double Bass Pickup is organically constructed to accurately reproduce the natural sound of your bass. Each of our Revolution Solo (or "Rev Solo" as they're called around the workshop) bass pickups are handmade with European Spruce in our Upton Bass workshop. The Revolution Solo is a "transparent" pickup, meaning that it sounds like which ever bass it's installed on. The Revolution Solo Double Bass Pickup does not presuppose that a player's primary need in a pickup is a "big bass" tone. Instead, the Revolution Solo Bass Pickup allows for consistent mid and high ranges as well as a clear, booming low-end sound.

The UB Workshop Double Bass Bow (offered in both German and French styles) is the culmination of our search to produce a quality wooden bow that is functional without compromising aesthetics. Crafted of Brazilwood, the sticks are octagonal and reddish; light-weight yet strong and very responsive. The frogs are 100% ebony, adorned with a Parisienne eye of figured abalone shell. The slide is also abalone, and the ferrules and buttons are nickel (the French style bows are fully lined). All of our UB Workshop Double Bass Bows are hand-inspected, include a silver and leather wrapped and feature a fresh hank of black hair- done in-house by our skilled bow luthiers.

 This fine instrument polish is used daily at Upton Bass String Instrument Co. on nearly every instrument that comes through our door.  This polish is all natural, made in small quantities and developed to be tough on rosin residue, finger oil, and any other build-up on your instruments finish.  It will not harm even the finest of finishes and helps protects your instrument from further damage when used regularly.  A once a month cleaning with Clef Old No.1 instrument cleaner polish will keep the finish of your bass, cello, viola, or violin in tip top shape.
