Three educators have been selected to participate in the 2016 Golden Educators Residency! The residents will be given time to work on their own creative projects with support from the Golden Artist Colors staff. Meet the educators.

And the Best-in-Grade Award goes to . . .
The Best-in-Grade Award is given to the brightest writers and artists in grades 7-12. With support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, we were able to present twenty-four students--two artists and two writers from each grade level--with this Award, along with a $500 scholarship. Focus on Writopia Lab
Writopia Lab Westchester & Fairfield brings the Scholastic Awards to students in New York and Connecticut. With a focus on reaching underrepresented students, Writopia Lab is working hard to ensure the voice of every student in their community is heard. Read more.

Awarding Teens Tackling Tough Issues
The Creativity & Citizenship Award is given to teens whose art or writing adresses a topic relevant to current events in American society. This year, students were asked to create work that explores the issue of Race in America and add their unique voice to this important conversation. See what our students had to say.
