LAUNDRY LOVE ANNIVERSARY

A Year of Clean Laundry and Profound Connections

On Wednesday, June 15, Laundry Love will celebrate its one year anniversary.  All Saints' launched Hawaii's first Laundry Love program in June 2015. On the first and third Wednesdays of the month, volunteers wash, dry, and fold patrons' laundry--for free! A typical Laundry Love session is able to handle about 85-90 loads in three hours.

"Laundry Love's first anniversary is a tremendous milestone for All Saints' and our outreach ministries," said Father Ryan Newman. "In the past year, we have done about 2000 loads of free laundry. We also have gotten to know our brothers and sisters in the community, many who are houseless and/or struggling to make ends meet. All Saints' has been able to take the Gospel beyond the walls of the Church by rolling up our sleeves and reaching out to those in need through a simple mission to provide clean, free laundry."

To celebrate Laundry Love's first Anniversary, during the session on June 15, volunteers will also be serving up cake, beverages, and some fun surprises. The All Saints' 'Ohana are invited to participate and the festivities will begin at 5:15PM. Come celebrate. Come serve. All are welcome!

Join us on Sunday, June 19 for another 'Ohana Beach BBQ at Lydgate Beach Park from 4:00PM - 6:30PM.

Yes, it is Father's Day . . . so give Dad a break from grilling and let the All Saints' grill masters cook up some hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, and much more. B everages will be provided. If you are able, please bring a side dish (not required). It is recommended you also bring a beach chair. Come join us for food, fun, and fellowship! All are welcome!
DA ALL SAINTS' SHADOW

Providing Answers to Your Questions

What happened to the organ pipes?

The organ pipes are safe and sound. A wonderful group of "Organ Elves" (Morris Wise, David Crocker, William Brown, David Murray, and Mary Margaret Smith) spent Memorial Day removing and packing most of the organ pipes into specially built (by David Crocker) wooden boxes. The boxes will be shipped back to Manuel Rosales' design studio in Los Angeles, California. The large wooden pipes will not be shipped; instead, they will be safely stored until Manuel's team arrives next year to refurbish the wooden pipes and begin installing the reconstructed organ.

Keiki Assist with Holy Eucharist

Throughout June and July, the keiki will join the congregation for the full service because Sunday School is on summer break. To kick off All Saints' focus on "families worshiping together", Father Ryan asked the keiki to be present at the Table during the celebration of Holy Eucharist. The keiki presented the bread and wine and elevated the elements during the Eucharistic Prayer.

"During these next two months, it is important that we offer to our keiki experiences that draw them even deeper into the wonder and awe of our liturgy," said Father Ryan Newman. "It is marvelous to have families sitting and worshiping together throughout the whole service."
