9:00 Early Service ~ Drumming on the Porch ~ Breakfast ~ 11:00 Full Easter Service
CELEBRATE RENEWAL THIS EASTER AT UNITY ATHENS 
9:00 to 9:50 Early Easter Meditative Service in the sanctuary. Join us for soft music, extra time in meditation, and an opportunity to renew and "set things right" through Rev. Bronte's guidance in forgiveness and unconditional love techniques. Energy / Light workers may also be present to freely offer Reiki and healing / alignment energies.
10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Our Annual Easter Drumming Circle on the Porch. Join in with your drum, rattle, flute or other instrument or share one of our extras as we gather on the beautiful, large porch to greet the day, each other, and Spirit through sacred drumming. 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Our Annual Easter Potluck Breakfast. Open to all -- bring a dish to share, but if you forget, there's always plenty. This is a popular, fun tradition at Unity Athens with time to socialize and share.
11:00 Easter Sunday Service with an uplifting, interfaith message on how to "Awake, Renew & Reaffirm our Sacred Purpose" or in short: "Who, You? Renew?" by Rev. Bronte. What would you like to awaken to more fully? Might it be the wonderfulness of you? The energy and creativity and lovingness of you? Would you like to renew a sense of your spiritual nature? Reaffirm your purpose and joy in living? Celebrate the Easter message of rebirth, renewal and regeneration of your continuing, unfolding spiritual life with the joy and inspiration to be found at Unity Athens. We are delighted that our musical inspiration this Easter will be by special guest artist Leanne Allen of the Atlanta area.
Singer / Songwriter, Spiritual Being, Wife, Mother, Friend, etc. is a creative spirit who is guided by the desire to help others find peace in their lives through outlets such as music and yoga. Leanne blossomed into a songwriter as an adult. Music began flowing in her head when she started journaling about the many challenges she had faced throughout her childhood. As a result, her songs are filled with stories of personal growth and insights. Her sound is unique; typically labeled soft rock or indie. She likes to call it "Pop-Psychology". Regardless of genre, she is a self-labeled PMS writer; that's 'Positive Message Songs' writer.
Leanne's new CD, "The Light in You", contains six original songs expressing gratitude, self-acceptance and hope. The arrangements and production were part of a collaborative effort with the incomparable Daniel Nahmod.
Easter Activities and fun in Sunday School As always, Ms. Bre will have delightful Easter crafts and activities for our Sunday School children. We emphasize joy, positive self-esteem, and celebration of life and God in our youth education activities

We invite you to try our early meditation circle ~ "Morning Quietude"
Sundays, 9:40 to 10:25 AM.
Morning Quietude meets in the Lobby area (through the double glass doors in the middle of the building). Led by Rev. Bronte, this is a time for quiet contemplation, soft music, and centering. Whether you join us as a pre-service preparation time, a stand-alone "church service," or as a preface to your other Sunday plans, we welcome all. If you arrive after 9:40, that's fine, just please turn off phone, etc., and quietly take your place within the circle. Donations are appreciated. Note: On Easter Sunday, Morning Quietude will not be held in the lobby area. It will be incorporated into our 9:00 Meditation Service in the main rooms.
YOUTH NEWS !
International Youth of Unity, also known as "YOU" is for high school students in the age range of 14 to 18. Uniteens is the group for middle school students, ages 11 to 14. We are making plans to restart programs for YOU and possibly also for Uniteens soon. If you have family members in middle or high school, know of others that might be interested, or would like to be an adult volunteer on a regular or even occasional basis, please talk to Bronte or email us at [email protected].

THE "I" OF THE STORM: Embracing Conflict, Creating Peace
by Gary Simmons on the first and third Sunday of every month. Meets next on April 20 and May 4 from 12:30 to 1:45 in the Lobby area.

About Rev. Susan LaRue: She has 20+ years background in Unity teachings, is S.E.E. certified, and was the Youth Education Director of Unity Spiritual Life Center in Oklahoma City, where she also taught an adult class. Watch for other classes and book study groups in the near future.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES. Taught by the highly experienced and insightful facilitator, Drew Smith, this popular class dives deeply into A Course, while making the text even more understandable and relevant to daily life. Open to all. If you don't own the book, there's always someone willing to share. Because of its ongoing nature, feel free to stop in as you can, or to participate every Sunday. Donations are accepted and appreciated. ACIM will meet on Easter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  CommUnity Movie, Sunday, May 11 at 4:00 Held monthly on the Second Sunday, our next gathering will be on May 11 from 4:00 to 5:45. Movie will be announced soon. Consider joining us around the extra-big screen TV for a casual atmosphere. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. Cost is $5. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attend a "New Member" class to become a member of Unity Athens.
To achieve membership, there are several requirements: attendance at a New Member class, taught by Rev. Bronte and you must view the DVD, "What is New Thought?," which explores the history and philosophy of the New Thought movement, including Unity. We will have showings of this important documentary around the time of New Member classes, or you can purchase it online to watch. If you are transferring an active membership from another Unity church, it may be possible to waive one or both requirements. It is also highly recommended that you attend some of Rev. Susan La Rue's book study groups or Rev. Bronte's b
ook groups to gain a deeper insight into Unity principles and teachings. There is no fee to take the New Member class or to become a member. These classes are open to all and are a good way to lean more about the Unity movement and Unity Athens. Check with Rev. Bronte for specific dates & schedules for the classes, the movie showing, and the next opportunity to join Unity Athens. Consider making a deeper connection and becoming a member of our Unity Athens Family.
