PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Transitional Insights
President
Pam Potter, FHFMA President 2015-2016
I would like to first say what a joy and honor it has been to serve as the President of the Texas Gulf Coast HFMA Chapter.  The friendships and acquaintances that have blossomed from this experience have strengthened my belief in the ability of our organization to lead us through the upcoming changes in healthcare.  The constant in healthcare is change, no matter where you are on the healthcare service line; executive, payor, provider, management, revenue cycle, patient access, or engagement through a consulting, outsourcing or support role just to name a few.

Personally, I recently experienced a change from private practice to a physician hospital organization.  My friendships and years with HFMA proved to be invaluable, and simplified the overnight cultural transition.  If I had dug my head in the sand and knew only the arena in which I performed, I can see where it would have been a challenge for both myself and our organization.
FROM THE INCOMING PRESIDENT

As the incoming President, I want to thank all of you for your dedication to make our HFMA Chapter successful.

Without you volunteering countless hours of your time, we could not have the success we've had as a Chapter.  As you are aware, the Spring Institute is just around the corner.

We have some incredible speakers lined up and I would like to ask you attend this event if at all possible.  I realize that taking time off from work can be problematic, but if you can arrange to do so, please do.
On Tuesday, the last event of the day is to install our incoming Officers and the 2016-2018 Board.  Please come meet the new officers and Board of Directors.
