Help wanted in Hamilton: Job vacancies for the 2nd quarter 2014 

business_ppl3.jpg Workforce Planning Hamilton releases quarterly online job vacancy statistics that capture a portion of the real-time labour demand in our community. The most recent release reflects online job postings from April to June 2014, showing that there were 4,999 unique job vacancies during this time period.

Did you know? 
  • Full-time vacancies have fallen 13% from Q2 2013
  • The number of postings for Sales and Services has fallen by 29% since last year. 

Statistics Canada corrects monthly report to show 42,000 new jobs in July

Statistics Canada's monthly labour force survey has found that employment rose by 42,000 in July across the country. Ontario saw an increase in employment by 40,000 in July, offsetting the decline in the previous month.
