Announce a New Funding Opportunity
To improve and expand the ways people with developmental disabilities are supported to be employed and have meaningful days
Transforming & Improving Practices through Customized Technical Assistance
(TIP Grants)

The purpose of this initiative is to improve the employment outcomes of people with developmental disabilities by supporting community service providers licensed by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration to build, expand and sustain effective skills, capacity and competencies. Funds may be used to obtain customized technical assistance to improve the way services are provided resulting in more people with developmental disabilities:
  • being supported to get and keep meaningful work they want in their communities;
  • making decent wages;
  • having meaningful days in the community when not working.
Selected providers will receive technical assistance from subject matter experts and ongoing peer-to-peer mentoring to address the issues outlined in their proposals that lead to improved employment and community-based outcomes for people with developmental disabilities.

Two pre-proposal information sessions will be held. The purpose and topics of the pre-proposal information sessions will be the same. The pre-proposal information sessions will be the only opportunity to ask questions. Attendance, however, is not mandatory.
