Roman military tribune Clavius (Joseph Fiennes) remains set in his ways after serving 25 years in the army. He arrives at a crossroad when he's tasked to investigate the mystery of what happened to Jesus (Cliff Curtis) following the Crucifixion. Accompanied by trusted aide Lucius (Tom Felton), his quest to disprove rumors of a risen Messiah makes him question his own beliefs and spirituality. As his journey takes him to places never dreamed of, Clavius discovers the truth that he's been seeking. (PG-13; 1 hr. 47 min.)

Kate Miller has an expressionistic portrait style reminiscent of Alice Neel's. In Miller's own words she explains "I didn't discover Alice Neel until I was in my thirties, which I think is just as well. Any earlier and it would have looked like I was imitating her. When I saw her work, I definitely felt like I had found a colleague. Here is someone with a very unique voice who loved to paint people she knew."

Miller has been painting portraits of subjects during live sittings for about four decades. Many of her paintings depict the same people through various stages of life. It is quite interesting to see the voice of the artist evolve simultaneously with the subject over a long period of time. Miller's paintings are consistent in their strong sense of expression, but vary greatly in color scheme and tone, perhaps because of her staunch commitment to painting in the moment.
