SAVE THE DATE FOR PIGS AND POLITICS
The fifth annual Pigs & Politics Legislative Day returns to the Clayton Center for the Arts courtyard on the Maryville College campus Tuesday, July 26 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for the public to visit with candidates and elected officials as they mingle in a summer pig roast setting with the community. There are no speeches; just a lot of Calhoun's BBQ, beer provided by Smoky Mountain Brewery. Elected officials will once again be serving BBQ while collecting "tips" for their respective non-profit organizations.

REMEMBER TO SHOP LOCAL
Think local first + Buy local when you can = Being a local!
When you shop with local merchants, more of your money stays close to home; supporting the parks, recreation centers, libraries and other things that make this community a great place to live.
GOT AN EVENT OR NEWS? WE'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT

Also, please
send us any news releases or good news about your business. We'd love to share it with the community.
REMEMBER WHEN
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World," by the English band Tears for Fears topped the Billboard Music Charts this week in 1985. In 2015, 30 years after its release, the song was honored at the annual BMI Awards in London for achieving 6 million radio airplays.

The Dialogue
This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So here we go with our 27th installment visiting with Amy McCarty and Tosha Wilhelmsen, Owners/Operators of
The Artistic Bean Maryville, which is a coffee House serving organic, fair trade and locally roasted beans.
What makes The Artistic Bean special? Our passion is coffee and you'll know it the moment you step in our doors. Our journey of quality service begins with small batch roasting of our Fair-Trade Organic Specialty grade coffee beans. That journey continues into the coffee house and passes into the hands of skilled Baristas for you to experience coffee and espresso at its highest quality.
Who is your biggest supporter? Jeremy Doss, founder of The Artistic Bean, has been such a gracious teacher throughout this process. Getting to know Jeremy and The Artistic Bean family has been such a blessing.
Describe your customers. One of the best parts of coffee is the people it brings together. We have such a wonderful variety of customers. It has been our pleasure getting to know each and every one.
What do you enjoy about you practice? Surprise hugs.
