The St. Bridget Giving Tree is surviving the winter, with a few snowflakes to prove it! If you haven't picked from the Tree, please take a moment to review the simple requests from our teachers and staff, for items that make their jobs a bit easier within their classrooms. You can pick an Apple, and give it to Mrs. Feeney, with a check made out to the St. Bridget PTO (memo: Giving Tree) and the item will be purchased and forwarded to the grateful teacher or staff member. Thank you for considering a gift from the Giving Tree!

This Year's theme of Catholic Schools week promotes some of the basic tenets of Catholic education:  Faith, Knowledge and Service.  As always, Saint Bridget School continually strives to provide our students and families with a community that nurtures both academics and faith formation. As parents, you have an opportunity to show off that community spirit.  We are asking ALL parents and staff to participate in the Annual Fund Drive.  Our goal for this year is $45,000. Flyers were send home via backpack and all donations count to towards this % drive.

If you have already supported us your % counts as well and a family donation covers all children's classroom participation %'s!  Prizes will be awarded to the class with the highest participation.

Marian High School is looking for girls and boys ages 6-11 years of age to take part in their production of "The King and I" Auditions are Sunday Feb 8th from 2-4pm. Show dates are May 7,8,9. See attached flyer for more information.

FYI: Snow Days, Mr. Rick Gallagher, Director of School Transportation, relying largely upon the Dept. of Public Works and the Police Dept., as well as personal observations, will relay by telephone, the condition of the roads, sidewalks and parking areas at the schools to Dr. Stacey Scott, School Superintendent. The Superintendent will make the decision and notify the school principals and the media. If the radio and television say there is no school in Framingham Public Schools, that means there is no school at St.Bridget's.

The only circumstances under which Mrs. Chaves would make the decision to close the school would be in an emergency specific to St. Bridget School.

In case of snow please do not call St. Bridget School. We will use our IRIS (Emergency Response System) to notify all families by telephone. Also you can check the radio and television for the announcement regarding Framingham Public Schools." As far as calling school during the day, the same procedure is followed. Since we depend on the school buses, it is the school bus director and the Superintendent of Schools who make that decision and tell us, again we would use the IRIS telephone system to notify you. Every parent should feel free to determine for themselves whether or not their child should come to school when the weather is questionable.

Saint Bridget School is deeply rooted in the Catholic traditions.
Our collaborative environment nurtures academic excellence, social responsibility, and Christian values in a changing and challenging world.
Saint Bridget School partners with families and our Church to develop
the whole person within a community of faith.
