Leading Global Innovator and Thinker Dr. Nat Irvin II to Keynote
2016 NABA National Convention

Greenbelt, MD, June 8, 2016 - The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.) welcomes Dr. Nat Irvin II as the keynote speaker of the Opening General Session at the 2016 NABA National Convention & Expo, June 21 - 25 at the Diplomat Hotel & Resort in Hollywood, FL.

Dr. Irvin is a Futurist, which the Association of Professional Futurists defines as, "a person who studies the future in order to help people understand, prepare for and gain advantage from coming changes." For University of Louisville professor Dr. Irvin, this means using his research to create new paradigms for African Americans in business.

Dr. Irvin will bring his expertise to NABA convention attendees and share with them his insight into the future of the accounting and finance industry. Specifically, he will detail the role NABA can play in this "future marketplace".

Beyond his role as a futurist, Dr. Irvin is an accomplished author, innovator, teacher, composer and former radio and television commentator, and is the Woodrow M. Strickler Executive in Residence, Professor of Management Practice, College of Business at the University of Louisville. In this role, he has taught graduate courses in the future of management, leadership, and team dynamics since 2007.

Dr. Irvin is the founder of "Thrivals @IdeaFestival" launched in 2010 with the Kentucky Science and Technology Center. "Thrivals" is the kick-off day of the IdeaFestival, an annual world-class event that attracts leading global innovators and thinkers to discuss and celebrate imagination, new perspectives and transformational ideas.
