From Therapeutic to Vigorous
Workshop

with Ali Modell

Sunday, October 5th

Session 1: Shoulder Therapeutics

2:00 - 4:30pm

The shoulder is a unique joint in terms of its relationship to the axial skeleton, and is easily compromised by the movements of daily life. In this therapeutic session, we'll review basic anatomy, work the "yoke of the shoulder girdle" via both mobilization and stabilization techniques and apply acupressure to relieve pain. This all levels workshop is appropriate for anyone with shoulder pain, stiffness and dysfunction or teachers curious about therapeutic application of postures.

Sunday, November 2nd

Session 2: Hand Balances

2:00 - 4:30pm

Hand balancing postures require an adept understanding of how to work with one's hands--typically non-weight bearing structures--as the foundation. Opening the hands and arms allows one to access the chest and directly ties to the breath. In this session, we will build off of the specific therapeutic techniques from session 1, but within the context of a vigorous practice. We'll work specifically toward Handstand as a gateway for Vasisthasana, Mayurasana and Hamsasana.
Anyone is welcome, but prepare to be challenged.

Props & Hands On Adjustments
Workshop

with Ali Modell

Sunday, October 26th

2:30 - 5:30pm

This session will address key concepts in regard to using props and delivering hands on adjustments. Via the main theme of "being in relation to" and within the framework of a full spectrum practice, we will stop and start to observe, discuss and apply prop usage, partner work and hands on manipulations in key postures. This workshop is geared toward anyone curious about the art and science of appropriate touch in a yoga setting.

Cost:

$35 Door
Online Early Bird Discount: $30
Teacher Discount: $25

Teachers: Please use Promotion Code "AliPropTT"
at Check Out to receive your discount.

Preregistration is required!
