THE CO-OP PAINTS FACES TOO!
|
Principle
#7 of the Co-op's principles is "Concern for the community". Last weeks concern was being a part of the Ed Smith School Carnival in Syracuse, NY. The Co-op, again, volunteered to run the carnival's Face Painting Booth for 2016. Reina Apraez, Produce Lead and Stephanie Newkirk, HBC Buyer lent their artistic talents to the project. They painted the eager faces of the students with their favorite fruits and vegetables for the 2 hour duration of the carnival. As you can see the line up of recipients was long and was that way from beginning to end. This is one of the many events and projects that the Co-op has done over the years around the Syracuse area. Not only is the Syracuse Real Food Co-op a great place to shop, but a great place to be associated with as a member. You can be proud of what they give back to the community.
