The St. Catharines Arts Awards took place on Saturday, June 4 in Cairns Hall at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre - and they were an absolute blast! Check out our Facebook photo album

A huge congratulations to all of the 2016 Arts Awards nominees! 

For the first time, COGECO TV filmed the awards ceremony and will be airing it on the following dates/times:
Sunday June 12 at 9 p.m.
Friday June 17 at 7 p.m.
Saturday June 18 at 2 p.m.
 
More dates may be scheduled in future, so keep your eyes peeled!
 
This year marked the launch of the Mayor's Arts Fund, a new opportunity to strengthen the City's investment in the arts by welcoming private sector sponsors to the St. Catharines Arts Awards. As a result, six new sponsors came on board. Thank you to them and to Mayor Walter Sendzik for leading this new initiative!

Auditions - 2016 Guided Spirit Walks
Volunteer actors of all ages and experience levels are needed to portray historic characters at the Museum's annual Guided Spirit Walks, September 9, 10, 16 and 17.

Auditions are June 20 to 24, by appointment only.

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre - The Arts Live Here
Last week the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre released it's 2016/2017 Hot Ticket Season, and it looks amazing! 
There's lots to do at the PAC over the summer - from Niagara Integrated Film  Festival and Niagara Jazz Festival events to The Film House   and   The Foster Festival . Check it out!  

Driftwood Theatre rolls back into St. Catharines!

Like, hop in your DeLorean and travel back in time with Driftwood Theatre to the totally awesome 1980s. When cool dude Petruchio meets Kate, the queen of mean, sparks fly in Shakespeare's controversial romantic comedy, The Taming of the Shrew.

An exhibit of original artwork by Xpressions Art Collective, ArtMeUp Goes to City Hall features 17 artists whose creations emerged in the face of significant life challenges.

Leading the Way: Pioneering Women of St. Catharines

An exhibition of photographs from the Museum's collection celebrates the women who have helped to shape St. Catharines over the last 150 years.
