Chris Brewer, well-known local automotive writer, photographer and co-creator of Automotive Addicts, has joined the staff of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as Director of Public Relations.

Brewer (42) may be one of the few, if not the only, automotive writers with a doctorate in theology. He has an extensive background working with non-profit organizations and has taught at the college level for over a decade. He has a passion for vintage sports and GT cars and co-runs Jacksonville, Florida's Cars & Coffee. He became the Manufacturer Liaison for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in 2015.

"Chris brings the depth of a nationally known automotive journalist plus an intimate knowledge of the First Coast car scene to 'The Amelia'," said Bill Warner, founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. "He's the perfect fit because Chris is first and foremost a hard core Car Guy," said Warner, "'The Amelia' is about cars, charity and community; Chris checks all those boxes."

An avid writer and photographer, Chris is the senior editor of Automotive Addicts, reviews vehicles and writes a weekly blog for CarFax, and is a frequent contributor to Hemmings Motor News and numerous automotive publications. He also writes a column named "An Addictive Take on Cars" for the Drive section of The Florida Times-Union.

Chris's wife Erin is a nursing supervisor at Wolfson Children's Hospital. Their two daughters, Abigail and Danielle, enjoy automotive photography and serve as volunteers at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. The Brewers have lived in Jacksonville, FL since 2000 .

"Joining the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance staff is a dream come true," said Brewer. "As an avid car enthusiast with a heart for the community, I cannot express how grateful I am to help produce one of the greatest motoring events in the world."
