Make It and Take It Workshops
Interested in having a Make It and Take It workshop in your community? Contact us! WHE staff will present on Creating a Healthy Home and provide hands on activities for Do-It-Yourself green recipes. Below is a recipe for a DIY insect repellent:

Herbal Mosquito Repellent Spray
Ingredients:
* 14 ounces Witch Hazel
* 10 ml (2 tsp) Citronella Essential Oil
* 10 ml (2 tsp) Eucalyptus Essential Oil
* 10 ml (2 tsp) Lemongrass Essential Oil
(You can also add clove, patchuli, and/or tea tree essential oils)

Directions:
Mix ingredients together, shake well and pour into spray bottles(s). To store more than a month or two, it is best to keep the spray in a glass bottle or you can halve the recipe.

Give the bottle a shake each time you spray. If it's hot and you're perspiring, re-apply every few hours.
