This newsletter is for sharing our most recent news, our upcoming events, and ways that you can help. See our past news here. As long as there is research to be done, our voices of hope will sing out for the cure!
Thank You For You Support!
All of us here at VOH would like to thank all the friends and family who supported our production of Fiddler on the Roof.  It was amazing to sell out the full round at North Shore, and we could not have asked for a better audience.   Your support is critical to our mission, and we are so grateful--both for the dollars you contribute and for the unfailing love you show us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Being a Member of VOH

On the surface, membership mostly means a lot of work.  Each member of our Fiddler cast spent over a hundred hours in rehearsal for the show.  That isn't counting the hours spent at home reviewing their music, lines, and dance steps.  Then they went out in their free time and sold ads, publicized the show, and solicited donations.  Our crew members come early and stay late, taking care of our lights, our sound, our scenery, and our costumes.  Our artistic team seems to live at the Nest during a show, constantly either in a rehearsal or planning for one.  And all of this--every single bit of it--is a labor of love.

When Maria Stephanos was interviewing us for Channel 5, she asked us why we sing.  It's a good question.  Why do the 200+ members of our organization each spend (on average) 240 hours a year working on behalf of Voices of Hope?  Why do we drive ourselves?  Why do we work so hard?

Why do we sing?

We sing for our mothers and fathers, our brothers and sisters, our children and our friends--for everyone on a cancer journey.  We sing for our mission, but we also sing for each other.  We sing because we are a family, and we raise our voices not just in hope but also in love and support of one another.  We come to the Nest like it's our second home, because there we can always find a hand to hold, a shoulder to lean on, and the reminder that none of us are alone.

Technically it doesn't take much to be a member of Voices of Hope.  Our dues are small.  Our uniform is just a black VOH shirt and a pair of jeans.  But time and again we see that our members are willing to give more.  They give their time, they give their talents, and they give their hearts.

It is a blessing and a privilege to be a part of this wonderful VOH family.  Together we are more than the sum of our parts, because together we can move mountains.

Together, our Voices of Hope sing out for a cure.

We appreciate your continued support as we aim to increase our fundraising goal every year. Our 2015 fundraising efforts allowed us to donate $75,000 to the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center For Targeted Therapies at Mass General Hospital. We couldn't do it without you!
