About ASPHN
Lynda, Our Friend and Colleague

Lynda Alfred was a consultant for ASPHN for the past seven years.  Sadly, Lynda passed away at the end of March, after a short battle with multiple myeloma.

Lynda was essential to helping ASPHN grow since she joined the consulting team in 2009.  Because of her, ASPHN now has regular newsletters, she produced the annual report, and, amazingly, she wrote 30 success stories featuring ASPHN members' work!  Plus, she helped revitalize the Collaboration Committee many years ago.  We will miss her quiet, gentle strength and influence in the association.

Because of ASPHN's virtual operations, we may not know much about each other.  Lynda's obituary is a lovely story about her life, and we encourage you to read about her love of family and the wilderness.

The ASPHN consultant team is shocked and saddened by Lynda's passing.  We will miss her words, her optimism and openness, and her laugh.

If you would like to send an expression of sympathy or send a note to her husband and/or children (Kelsey and Bryce), the address is:
