Spurred by budget shortfalls and bouts of Powerball Mania, state governments continue to explore opportunities to expand lottery offerings in order to generate additional revenue.  While this is not a new phenomenon, states have the widest array of options to offer lottery participants.

TIG Welcomes the Eastern Band of Cherokee Nation's Newest Member: Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel
On September 28, 2015, the much anticipated and long awaited Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel opened for business.  Located in the southwest corner of the state just minutes from downtown Murphy, North Carolina, the casino provides a second, closer gaming alternative to markets such as Knoxville, Chattanooga, and downtown Atlanta, all of which are within approximately two hour's drive from the facility.  Set on 92 acres of land high on a hill, the facility enjoys excellent 360 degree views of the Nantahala National Forest.   Click here for full story.

Since joining us in February 2015, Angela has become an invaluable member of The Innovation Group team.  With a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, an undergraduate degree in economics, prior work experience at a community recovery and planning firm, and 10 years of managerial experience in the restaurant industry, Angela has been exceptionally successful applying her skills and experience to our gaming and hospitality projects.  Based out of our New Orleans office, Angela's primary focus has been in the domestic market, performing market analyses, financial forecasts, economic impact studies, and diversification strategies for both commercial and Native American projects.  She also collaborates on some of the company's international projects, providing market research for feasibility studies and white papers.  Angela contributes to our Emerging Leaders of Gaming initiative, moderating webinars and writing 40 Under 40 profiles for Global Gaming Business magazine.   Read and share full bio.
