Videos can be edited for viewing of selected content & can be embedded in Oncourse

The Library now subscribes to Media Education Foundation Video,  an online collection of films on gender, race relations, media and communication studies, politics and current issues, and much more. The library's subscription to the database allows for full public performance rights to the videos, which means that professors can easily show them to their students in class (or embed in Oncourse) without incident. The database also has an easy editing feature, which allows users to select specific clips to show to their classes.

Titles are continually added to the database, which  includes popular titles such as:

  • Killing Us Softly 4: Advertising's Image of Women
  • The Overspent American: Why We Want What We Don't Need
  • Default: The Student Loan Documentary
  • Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes
